Venkat Sharma is the founder of iHealth Solutions LLC. Prior to iHealth, Mr. Sharma was the founder of iMedX Inc., a healthcare software and services company, currently servicing several thousand medical practices and hundreds of hospitals nationwide. Prior to founding iMedX in 2002, Mr. Sharma was the founder of Acorn Information Services, Inc., a company that provided database marketing, analytics, and technology solutions, primarily to the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Sharma sold Acorn Information Services to a larger company – Digital Lighthouse – and helped manage the combined entity through the IPO process. Prior to his entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Sharma worked for IBM as a consultant developing operating system software, and for 3M as a manager of online services for one of 3M’s subsidiaries in Connecticut. Mr. Sharma also serves on the Board of Passport Health in Louisville, KY where he serves as Vice Chairman and on the Compensation and Finance committees, and on the board of The JJ Metta Foundation, a charitable organization for children in need.
Mr. Sharma received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (India), and his Master’s Degree in Management from Clemson University.
